History

1966 - Pavao Jancic established a small button making workshop located in the basement of the family house.

The early days were difficult. They started with manually operated machinery and produced buttons from ready made sheet material.

To expand the business, beside working in the workshop, P. Jancic traveled to various markets on his motorbike, searching for customers and use the same method of transport to deliver the orders.

Our early successes were made achievable with the help and support of his wife Kristina.

As the business expended the firm began to employee permanent staff.

1982 - we purchased a specialised drum for manufacturing raw material; this rounded off the production process - from raw material to the final product.

2000 - the firm changed its name to 'Gumplus'. Pavao Jancic retired and the running of the firm was taken over by his son, Robert Jancic.

2002 - due to increased workload the button production was moved to a large purpose built premises as a response to increase in orders.

2006 - to meet the additional product demand the company was joined by Robert's sister, Jasenka Jancic.

2007 - purchase of the latest laser equipment enabled computer generated programmes to reproduce any image on the face or/or the edge of a button.

2008-2011 - in cooperation with the Croatian Chamber of Trade we exhibited at several international trade/craft fairs - in Munich, Graz, Novi Sad and Belgrade.
